Keep your apps connected on your terms. Firewall AI is a no-root firewall for Android that lets you block internet access per app, separate Wi-Fi from mobile data and review outgoing connections. See where your phone connects and decide what to allow.
Background connections are not always obvious. Apps may contact advertising, analytics or other services even when you are not using them. Firewall AI brings that activity into view and adds local AI-assisted analysis to your app rules.
Control Wi-Fi, mobile data and roaming
• Allow or block each connection type separately for each app.
• Restrict selected apps to Wi-Fi.
• Take apps offline without disconnecting your entire phone.
• Toggle the firewall from Android Quick Settings.
Keep maps and messaging available while limiting access for other apps. Before heading overseas, review roaming permissions. Restrict tools that work offline, then restore their internet access when you need an online feature.
Review connections instead of guessing
The connection log shows outgoing attempts with the app, destination IP address, country and time. Host and domain details are shown when available. Use data counters to identify unexpected activity, and tags and filters to find the apps you want to review.
An unfamiliar address does not automatically mean a threat. Check what the app needs to do and use the available connection details to guide your rules.
Deep Detective™ and local analysis
Deep Detective helps identify suspicious connection patterns on your device. The intrusion prevention system, or IPS, uses filter lists to help block known malicious and tracking destinations. The filter lists cover more than 10 million domains.
Your app rules decide which apps can connect. Selected destination filters add another layer of control over where permitted apps connect.
DNS settings and tracker control
Choose a DNS provider or configure a custom DNS server. DNS-based filtering can help block requests to listed tracking, advertising and phishing domains. Combine DNS settings with your app rules to reduce unwanted connections.
Not every advert or tracking method can be blocked. Results depend on the selected filters and the way each app connects.
Start with control. Choose PRO for more.
The basic firewall lets you manage app internet access. Firewall AI PRO adds enhanced filter lists and IPS PRO for more advanced destination filtering. Check the available features, purchase options and terms in the app before upgrading.
Why Android displays a VPN request
Firewall AI uses Android's VpnService to direct network traffic through a local interface for filtering on your phone. It does not send that traffic through an external VPN server, change your location or hide your public IP address.
Android allows one active VPN service per user profile. Another VPN cannot run alongside Firewall AI in the same profile; switch between them when needed.
Local filtering, no advertising
The app has no ads, and your rules and connection logs are stored on your device. DNS requests, updates, licensing and optional online lookups may use external services, as described in the privacy policy. Encrypted chat and HTTPS content is not decrypted.
Set up your first app rules
Install Firewall AI, approve Android's VPN request and choose which apps may connect. Review the log and adjust access to suit your needs. Blocking an app can interrupt messages, syncing and other online features; restore access when you need them.
Firewall AI focuses on outgoing network connections. It is not a file-scanning antivirus or protection against incoming network attacks.
