I was making phenomenal progress on this app. #1 my first week on the leader board and tracking to be in the top 5 this time. Today, while trying to do my daily streak, I encountered an error that will not let me progress. It says I'm offline, only after I complete a full lesson. So I'm now stuck. Thankfully right before my free trial ended, because I'm not going to pay since I can't continue.

Mimo doesn't really teach you how to code, at least in my opinion. Every lesson is just a quiz of multiple choice answers that doesn't teach. The hard mode was a scam because it just adds extra context to the question rather than making an actual hard question. They have some scummy practices like hiding the estimated completion date of a given course until you pay (when you have like 3 lessons left). They are also missing a lot of coding languages like Golang. At this point, just use boot.dev.

I mean.. its alright, the reason for the 2 star review is the whole "Day 1 'Try FREE for 2 weeks and then 25% off for the rest of the year just $14.99 a month' Day 2 'Enough putting it off! Get the rest of the year for 50% off! $9.99/mo! *minus the trial period* c'mon you've had a whole day! *even if we did capped the whole experience at 30 minutes* That's plenty of time to decide if it was right for you.. Just plain pushy salesmanship.. 🫩 "Fine, if it'll shut you up..."
