About this app

Block internet access for the apps you choose. Firewall AI is a no-root firewall for Android that helps you manage Wi-Fi, mobile data and roaming separately for each app. Keep important apps connected while restricting unnecessary network access.

Whether you use a daily data allowance or mostly connect through Wi-Fi, set rules that match your needs. This app internet blocker also shows outgoing connections, so you can see what happens in the background.

Control internet access without root
• Allow or block Wi-Fi, mobile data and roaming for each app.
• Keep selected video, gaming and social apps on Wi-Fi only.
• Take an app offline without disconnecting the rest of your phone.
• Switch the firewall on or off from Android Quick Settings.

Allow mobile data for messages, maps and other services you need away from Wi-Fi. Restrict access for apps that work offline. Review roaming permissions before travelling. Data savings depend on your rules and actual app usage.

Understand background network activity
Apps may contact advertising, analytics or other services even when you are not actively using them. The connection log shows outgoing attempts with the app, destination IP address, country and time. Host or domain details appear when available.

Data counters help you spot unexpected traffic. Use tags and filters to find specific apps, then adjust internet access to fit their purpose. An unfamiliar connection alone is not evidence of malware.

Deep Detective™ and destination filters
Deep Detective helps identify suspicious connection patterns through local analysis. The intrusion prevention system, or IPS, uses filter lists to help block known malicious and tracking destinations. These lists cover more than 10 million domains.

Use your app rules to decide which apps may connect and selected filters to limit unwanted destinations. You stay in control of the permissions you set.

DNS settings and tracker control
Choose a DNS provider or add a custom DNS server. DNS-based filtering can help block requests to listed advertising, tracking and phishing domains. Combine it with app internet rules to reduce unwanted connections.

Not every advert or tracking technique can be blocked. The result depends on the selected filters and how an app connects.

Basic firewall and optional PRO
Start with the basic firewall to manage app internet access. Firewall AI PRO adds enhanced filter lists and IPS PRO for more advanced destination filtering. Available features, purchase options and terms are shown in the app before you choose an upgrade.

Why the app asks for VPN permission
Firewall AI uses Android's VpnService to direct network traffic through a local interface for filtering on your phone. It does not route traffic through an external VPN server, change your country or hide your public IP address.

Android supports one active VPN service per user profile. You cannot use Firewall AI and another active VPN together in the same profile.

Local filtering and privacy
Firewall AI has no ads. Your rules and connection logs are stored on your device. DNS requests, updates, licensing and optional online lookups may use external services; details are explained in the privacy policy. Encrypted chat and HTTPS content is not decrypted.

Get started with a few app rules
Install Firewall AI, approve Android's VPN request and choose which apps may connect. Check the log and refine your rules. Blocking an app also affects its online features: messages, sign-in or syncing may stop until you allow access again.

Firewall AI focuses on outgoing connections. It is not a file-scanning antivirus or protection against incoming network attacks.

A Firewall isn't a VPN. A VPN is not a Firewall. While you pretend to make a Firewall that isn't, I can't use a VPN that is. You are a fraud. You are exposed.

I love Firewall AI Pro, works well - BUT if only it had the following two features, I WOULD SURE GIVE IT A FIVE-STAR RATING: 1. When in Logs for any app, there should be a button to stop ALL past connections that the app has made, instead of making me scroll through the list and do them all separately, WHICH TAKES FOREVER! 2. The upper left notification icon should show whether Protection is on/off without having to swipe down to see its notification status! Thanks!
