Kenai Report Data

Kenai Report Data supplies fishing-report complications for compatible Wear OS watch faces, including Kenai Fishing Report.

This is the separate DATA APP, not a watch face. Install it on the same watch as your chosen compatible face, then select its providers in the complication settings. Kenai Fishing Report is available as a separate watch-face app. Kenai Report Data can also be used with other faces that accept its text complications.

READINGS
• ADF&G Kenai late-run sockeye: latest daily count, count date, and season total.
• USGS Soldotna: water temperature, with flow and gauge observations in details.
• NOAA Cape Kasilof: next predicted high/low tide, height and Alaska-local time.
• ADF&G rule-verification reminder and official source links.

Open the watch app or tap a Kenai complication to read its report and fetch time. Refresh requests updates immediately, with a short throttle to avoid repeated requests. Automatic complication update requests are approximately every 30 minutes and may be deferred by Wear OS. Forecast and observation availability depends on the source and your connection.

Reports are fetched directly over HTTPS and cached locally after successful validation. Old or failed readings are identified; missing values are never replaced with fabricated counts. Out-of-season fish counts may remain unchanged. The rules reminder does not decide whether fishing is permitted.

PRIVACY
No accounts, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, subscription, developer backend, location permission or health permission. Public reports and update status are stored on your watch. Government source servers receive normal network connection metadata, such as IP address and an app User-Agent, under their own privacy practices. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the local cache. Read Privacy & sources inside the app for details.

Requires Wear OS 5 or later and internet access for updates. A watch browser is needed to open source websites directly; their URLs remain visible if no browser is installed. This app does not display a phone UI or provide fishing alerts.
