AR Ruler is a measuring tape and a scale ruler in one. Mark two points on any surface and an exact length measurement appears on screen in centimetres, metres, millimetres, inches, feet or yards.
📏 A measuring tape you never have to look for
Every job starts the same way: a length measurement is needed now, and the measuring tape is in another room. AR Ruler removes that step. The camera detects the flat surface in front of you, so a wall, a table top or a floor becomes a working surface, and the reading follows your hand exactly the way a measuring tape follows a wall. Nothing has to be stretched flat, nobody has to hold the far end, and the scale ruler on the display covers anything too small for a tape at all.
↔️ Length measurement, distance and height
Linear mode gives a straight length measurement between two points, the everyday job of a measuring tape. Distance mode measures from the camera to a fixed point on the detected plane, so a length measurement across a room no longer means walking it. Height is measured relative to the recognised surface: ceiling, shelf, door frame, curtain rail. Angle mode reads corners on the detected plane before you cut or drill, and the scale ruler settles the millimetre questions a measuring tape leaves open.
🧮 Area, perimeter and volume
Area and perimeter cover the bigger jobs: trace a floor or a wall and both numbers come back together, which turns a rough guess into a proper length measurement before you buy tiles, laminate, carpet or paint. The volume scanner gives the size of 3D objects — boxes, wardrobes, appliances. What a measuring tape gives you along one wall, this tool gives you across a whole room, and the scale ruler keeps the small parts in the same set of units.
📐 Scale ruler and path scan
The on-screen scale ruler measures small objects directly on the phone screen — screws, cards, cables, printouts, the things a long measuring tape cannot hold steady. Path scan calculates the length of a marked path, so a route that bends around furniture gives one number instead of five. Between the scale ruler and the tape modes, nothing is too small or too long for a length measurement.
🔧 Everyday jobs
Curtain width, space for a sofa, depth of a wardrobe, height of a shelf — a measuring tape in the camera answers all of it in seconds. Take the length measurement before you leave the room and you walk into the shop with the number already in hand. Moving, redecorating or ordering furniture online come down to the same thing: a scale ruler and a tape within reach.
🔢 Units and precision
Every value can be read in centimetres, metres, millimetres, inches, feet or yards, so a metric plan and an imperial order form need no third-party converter. Readings hold their decimal place, so a length measurement from the scale ruler and one from the tape mode line up instead of sending you back.

Mark two points, read the number, order the material. AR Ruler exists for one job: a measuring tape and a scale ruler in your pocket, ready for any length measurement the moment the real tape is out of reach. Note: AR Ruler requires Google ARCore; some features are Core only.
