About this game

FableAI is an AI text RPG you play by typing. Tell the narrator what your character does or says, and it writes what happens next. You are not stuck with a list of options: talk your way past a guard, bribe the dragon, or walk out of the quest and open a bakery. The narrator draws anime-style pictures of the scene as you go, and you can turn on dice rolls for risky moves.

Pick one of more than 5,000 adventures, from fantasy quests to sci-fi missions and murder mysteries, or describe your own world in one sentence and start playing. Play it as a solo AI RPG, or bring friends along and roleplay together.

HOW IT PLAYS
• Type anything. It happens. Choose DO to act or SAY to speak, write one line, and the scene moves on from there.
• Want a nudge? Tap one of the suggested choices, or ignore them and write your own move.
• Turn on dice rolls and the narrator rolls a d20 when a move could go either way. A failed roll is often where things get interesting.
• Not happy with a turn? Retry it, undo it, or tap Continue and let the narrator keep going.

WHAT A TURN LOOKS LIKE
You (DO): I slide the stolen key across the bar and ask the innkeeper who else has a copy.
Narrator: She doesn't pick it up. "Three people had one," she says. "Two of them went missing. The third just sat down behind you."

PLAY WITH FRIENDS
Up to 8 players can join the same text adventure. Each of you roleplays your own character, and the AI game master works every move into one scene, so a heist, a rescue or a tavern brawl goes differently with every group. Run a one-shot on a Friday night, or keep a multiplayer text RPG campaign going for weeks.

5,000+ ADVENTURES, OR YOUR OWN WORLD
Fantasy kingdoms, dungeon crawls, space stations, haunted-house horror, isekai worlds, detective cases and slice-of-life stories. Play adventures other players have made, or use FableAI as an AI story generator for your own idea: write one sentence, like "a kingdom of floating castles, guarded by an old dragon", and you start in the first scene.

BE ANYONE
Be a knight, a spy on a night train, a pop star, a starship pilot, a ghost hunter, or yourself on an ordinary Tuesday. You roleplay in your own words, and there is no script to follow.

MEMORY YOU CAN SEE AND EDIT
Story Cards and Memory Fragments hold the names, places and events the narrator should keep in mind. You can see, edit and delete them, so you decide what it remembers. Some memory features need a paid plan.

FOR FANS OF STORY GAMES
If you grew up on text adventure games and interactive stories, or you run TTRPG campaigns with friends, this story RPG will feel familiar. The difference is that the game master is an AI, so a session can be ten minutes on the bus or a whole evening with your group.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Each turn uses gems. You get free gems every day and can earn more by watching ads, or buy gem packs or subscribe for more.
• Pictures don't use gems.
• Safe mode is on by default.

Not the best. I'll use it, but it was a tad disappointing. The main thing I have a problem with is the suggestions keep confusing me for the AI character it made. It's strange. I also wish you could copy/paste stuff from previous adventures, such as if you want to use the same character in another adventure. I don't have any other complaints other than that issue and that QOL thing improvement idea.

I've tried several different AI text games, and most are just s*x chat bots. This is an actual text-based adventure game with AI storytelling. AI will forget things. That's why it's imperative to keep up with story cards, memory fragments, and the summary. Subscriptions are a bit pricey, but still not the most expensive out there, especially for how good this one is. I put over 300 hours in a single story for a character based in a specific video game universe.

Thanks for your review! That feature hasn't been removed! You can find it in the Adventure Menu under Memory -> Story Cards -> Memory Fragments. Your automatic story cards and the memories tied to them should still be there. If anything looks missing, email us at support@fableai.app and we'll take a look. Happy adventuring!

it was going fine for a bit. but then it started getting multiple details wrong and I had to waste gems correcting it. when I asked it to go back and check the information, I found that it only maintains information up to a certain point before it starts recreating the story. speaking of gems, the more you respond, the more it uses. and if the Service is only better at higher tier subscriptions, then that's even worse. I paid for the starter, but I regretted it after awhile.

Thanks for your review and sorry the narrator started losing track and cost you gems to correct, that's frustrating. Worth noting: higher plans (Explorer and above) do come with better memory, so stepping up a tier can help with holding longer stories together, and Vega is our strongest narrator for memory. Happy adventuring!
