Mio is a speech therapy app for kids aged 1 to 8. Short daily games help toddlers say their first words, practice sounds and train the tongue, lips and jaw.
Mio was made with speech therapists for parents of late talkers and kids who need extra speech therapy practice at home. Each session takes a few minutes and helps your child learn to talk step by step. Your child watches the panda, repeats the movement or the word, and gets a piece of a reward. Practice feels like play, so kids ask for the next game themselves.
WHAT YOUR CHILD PRACTICES
• Mouth exercises: 26 oral motor games for the tongue, lips, cheeks, lower jaw and breathing, the base of clear speech.
• Sounds: animal and vehicle sounds like woof, meow, moo and choo-choo, plus a special game for the R sound.
• First words: 94 words in 12 topics (food, animals, family, toys, clothes, body parts, transport, numbers to 20). Each word comes with a picture and a clear voiceover, then a balloon game where the child pops letters to build it.
• Repeat words: short sets of five picture words to say out loud.
• Tongue twisters and songs to sing along with karaoke text.
• Puzzles: 237 jigsaw puzzles with letters, numbers, animals, farm and home scenes. Pieces have irregular shapes on purpose, which trains fine motor skills.
• Puzzle Story: a short voiced cartoon, then three puzzle scenes that put the story back together. 11 stories to collect.
A PLAN THAT FITS YOUR CHILD
When you start, Mio asks your child's age and a few yes/no questions about how they talk today. From the answers it builds a personal speech therapy plan: about 150 levels on the panda's house map, three games per level. Pick the categories that matter most (for example only mouth exercises and first words) and they move to the front of the plan. You can change the age and categories any time in the menu.
LEARNING GAMES FOR TODDLERS THAT KEEP THEM GOING
Every finished game gives a part of an award. Collect all parts to open a new level, a bonus game and a new friend for the collection. Sticker scenes fill up as your child moves through each topic. Small wins every few minutes are what keep a toddler coming back tomorrow.
FOR PARENTS
• Speech therapy games for home: practice between sessions with your therapist, or a first step if you are worried about speech delay.
• Parental gate: purchases, settings and links sit behind a simple math question.
• Daily reminder at a time you choose, so practice becomes a habit.
• No ads inside the app.
• Available in English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Polish and Ukrainian.
• An internet connection is needed to download new exercises.
Mio does not replace a speech therapist. If you have concerns about your child's speech development, talk to a specialist. Mio helps you turn their recommendations into daily practice your child enjoys.
