Hannah and Wes once loved each other tremendously. His anger deep within from the murder of his father and tragic injury to his mother caused him to shut the door to Hannah. Back in their small town after a police injury, both he and Hannah struggle with the love that remains and with his actions. A Christmas story of redemption and love. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Helping with her friend's children for the holidays, Hannah must confront the past when police officer Wes, the man she can’t forget, returns to their hometown to recuperate along with his injured canine partner. This heartwarming holiday romance has all the feels. With the kids, the dog, and the supportive extended family, it's like a big Christmas hug. Yet it also has its poignant moments and obstacles to be overcome. It's a satisfying read. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.
