I picked up Her Cowboy Protector by Sasha Summers expecting a sweet, classic cowboy romance and honestly that’s exactly what it is, in the best way. I loved every minute of it! It’s been years since I regularly read cowboy romances, and this book reminded me why I fell in love with them in the first place. Sasha Summers blends that nostalgic cowboy romance feel with characters that still feel modern and genuine. Ames completely stole the show for me. He’s gruff and not much of a talker, but the way he instinctively looks out for Harper Lynn had my heart melting. The dancing scene at Lookout Point absolutely sent me over the edge. It was so romantic and so sweet, and completely outside of Ames’s usual personality. Seeing him step outside his comfort zone for her made the moment even more swoon worthy. Harper Lynn may seem delicate at first, but she proves she is stronger than anyone expects and I loved watching that unfold. And of course I cannot forget Daisy the goat and Copper the dog
