Chocolate 3D Watch Face

A pool of glossy melted chocolate inside the hammered copper rim of a fondue pot, seen low across its surface. The time stands up out of it in one diagonal row: the hours small and far off at the upper left, the minutes big and close at the lower right, the last digit so near it stands in front of the copper rim. Each digit is a thick bar of white chocolate dipped in the pool, glossy runs sliding down into the coat, a shining ripple where it comes out of the chocolate.

Every minute, fresh from the pool
When the minute changes, the new digit rises up out of the chocolate, sheets of it pulling up and draining off, and settles in its place.

Tap for a swirl
Tap the watch face and a slow swirl rolls through the pool under the digits. It rolls on the hour too.

Three chocolates
- Dark: white chocolate digits in a pool of dark chocolate.
- Milk: white chocolate digits in warm milk chocolate.
- White: dark chocolate digits in creamy white chocolate.

Readings on chocolate squares
Steps, unread notifications and battery, embossed on squares broken off a chocolate bar and dipped in dark chocolate. Put another app's complication there and it shows that app's icon and text. The date is engraved in the copper rim.

Easy on the battery
Nothing moves at rest: a digit rises only when it changes, the swirl only on a tap and on the hour. Always-on shows only the outlines of the time, the rim's edge and the date, dim on black.
